One of a kind sea urchin and seashell jewelry handmade by Barbara and Rick Umbel
We design one of a kind necklaces made out of sea urchins and seashells that are set in a combination of gold and silver. Inspiration comes from our environment- the shells we find on Indian Harbour Beach are the stars of our designs. We use traditional metalsmithing techniques to create abstract settings that show off the natural beauty of our beachcombing finds. Each piece is hand fabricated out of 14ky gold and sterling silver, and set with natural seashells, freshwater pearls, and gemstones.
We're honored to have a piece included in the Society of North American Goldsmiths' latest online exhibition. Curated by Tom Herman, Judith Kinghorn, and George Sawyer.
